Below you will learn how our friendly LifeStore team will help you through the process of switching to a better banking experience. We know the process of switching banks can seem overwhelming, especially if you have automatic drafts set up, but don’t worry. We will help you every step of the way.
Step 1: Open a LifeStore Account.
Stop by a convenient LifeStore Bank and talk to someone in person. They will discuss everything you need to complete the process. If you would like to apply online for a new account, a Financial Consultant will review your application and contact you to complete the process. Note: Keep your old account open until your direct deposits and automatic payments are switched to your new account and all your outstanding payments clear.
Step 2: Direct Deposit and Automatic Payments
LifeStore will provide the bank routing information and your new account number to change your direct deposit with your employer or other organizations.
LifeStore will switch any automatic payments from your old account to your new LifeStore account. Please provide contact information and account numbers (if possible) for any current automatic payments.
Step 3: Close your old Account
Once your checks have cleared and your automatic payments have been changed to your new account you are clear to contact your former bank to close the old account.
