LifeStore in Elkin
The LifeStore office located at 925 North Bridge Street is gaining a new employee and a new service. The Elkin location has been a full service insurance agency and is now adding a lending office. Surry County native, T.J. Bledsoe recently joined LifeStore Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer to expand lending operations into Elkin and the surrounding area. “We’re excited to expand our services in Elkin and to have T.J. join our team,” commented Jason Pike, LifeStore Insurance Branch Manager for the Elkin location.
LifeStore Insurance has a history of service to this region, starting in 1939 in nearby Ashe County to help people achieve the dream of home ownership. T.J. will be able to meet one on one with local business customers to let them know LifeStore can assist, whether it is to purchase real estate, finance a new construction project, add equipment, start a business or take care of the daily operation. “Our goal is to make it easy to do business,” commented Joedy Eller, LifeStore Chief Banking Officer. “We are a hometown community bank and have the advantage of local decision making,” added Eller.
T.J. is a lifelong resident of Surry County and has worked in the banking and insurance industry for 17 years. He enjoys being involved in the local community; he currently serves on the United Fund board for Mt. Airy, is the assistant treasurer for the Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Collaborative, a group promoting economic development in Elkin.
T.J. and his wife Amanda have one daughter, Ceily who is a student at Salem Christian Academy and T.J. and his family are active members of Salem Baptist Church. He has recently formed Dobson 4-H, a youth group to help young people learn more about agriculture, experience hands on learning and have the opportunity for service and T.J. also coaches various sports programs.
“T.J.’s knowledge of the area, combined with a strong business banking background will be an invaluable resource to LifeStore and our customers.” Eller added, “We are very pleased to have him on board.”
