Credit Analyst

Job Description: The Credit Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting in the evaluation of the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for and/or maintaining a credit relationship with the financial institution and for communicating findings to the Senior Credit Analyst, Loan Officers, CCO and CEO as necessary.. 

Primary Job Functions may include:

• Analyzes or assists with the analysis of borrower financial data on new, renewal and existing loans.  Analysis includes, but is not limited to, data provided by credit bureaus, tax returns, financial statements, other financial information, and financial institution files.
• Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions on new, renewal and modification of existing loans and communicates findings to officers.
• Monitors and analyzes receipt of required information from lead lenders for all participation loans. 
• Monitors receipt of all required financial information from major borrowers and notifies loan officers of missing information. 
• Prepares or assists in preparation of annual financial analysis of large credit relationships. 
• Monitors receipt of annual reviews of relationships between $250,000 and $500,000 that have at least $100,000 in commercial loans.   Reviews for potential grade changes. 
• Works in conjunction with Loan Operations on the tracking and clearing of loan policy exceptions.
• Assists in coordination of data collection for any independent loan reviews conducted by examiners, auditors and/or consultants. 
• Ensures credit documentation is properly scanned to FCM.
• Provides credit support to lenders as requested.
• Assists Senior Credit Analyst as requested. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, economics, or accounting.
• Good financial analytical abilities.
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of Excel and Word software.
• Ability to learn bank regulatory requirements, financial institution policies and procedures, prudent lending practices.

Deposit Operations Associate

Department: Deposit Operations
Reports To: Deposit Operations Manager
Supervises: None

Job Description: The deposit operations associate provides customers, both external and internal, with the highest  level of customer service. This position is responsible for the daily processing and maintenance of deposit accounts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with bank polices and regulations. The associate will perform various tasks including assisting with customer inquiries, transaction processing for ACH and wires, and implementing treasury services such as positive pay. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. 

Primary Job Functions may include:

• Always demonstrates exceptional customer service.
• Answers customer support calls and research customer issues while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity with regards to customer and company information. 
• Processes and/ or approves customer wires.
• Responsible for processing ACH files for various customers. 
• Responsible for assisting customers with implementing treasury services including cash management and positive pay.
• Works various deposit operations reports as assigned.
• Serves as the backup for the courier and deposit operation’s personnel, as necessary.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications.
• Excellent organizational, communication and critical thinking skills.
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work with or without direct supervision. 

Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements:
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Moderate time spent standing. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities require high level of visual concentration and keyboarding proficiency. There are generally no hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions present in the location of this position.

Financial Consultant I

Department: Retail Banking
Reports To: Financial Consultant II - Lead
Supervises: Day to day deposit activities with customers

Job Description: Creates the optimum experience in all customer and consumer interactions. Consults with customers, recommending products and services to meet immediate needs and long-term goals. Solicits new business and proactively provides or refers financial products and services. Actively participates and interacts with other team members.

Primary Job Functions may include:

• Bears primary responsibility to model and create an exceptional customer experience. 
• Solicits and originates deposit products. Refers Loans, Insurance and Investments to appropriate team members. Focuses the resources of the company to build total customer relationships using banking, insurance, and investment services as well as complementary products offered by third party vendors. Manages all customer relationships to increase total wallet share.
• Communicates and demonstrates excellence in customer service, going the extra mile to exceed customer expectations.
• Consistently uses technology tools to support the customer relationship and record activities. 
• Is knowledgeable of and adheres to bank policies and procedures in all activities while observing all authoritative limits and regulatory responsibilities.
• Is flexible in work scheduling as requested. 
• Completes documentation, correctly and efficiently. 
• Primarily responsible for helping customers process transactions.

Risk Management Specialist - Compliance and Audit

Department: Risk Management
Reports To: Senior Risk Manager
Supervises: None

Job Description: This role is responsible for monitoring programs that ensure the financial institution’s compliance with laws, regulations, and policies governing compliance. This includes maintaining the compliance management framework for LifeStore, assisting in the completion and documentation of risk-based internal audit activities, interpreting the results of audit work performed and determining internal control weaknesses. This role is also responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Vendor Management and Business Continuity Programs.

Primary Job Functions may include: 

Regulatory Compliance

• Serve as the Bank’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for regulatory compliance, specifically regarding deposit and lending regulations.
• Stay current on new and changing state and federal banking regulations and best practices to provide guidance and/or training to improve the Bank’s understanding of related laws and regulatory requirements and assess emerging compliance risks.
• Work with various department managers on implementing and maintaining appropriate policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain policies and procedures within the policy management system, monitor the adequacy of the policies and controls, ensure they remain current, and submit policy updates to the Board of Directors as needed.
• Assist in compliance reviews of marketing activities.
• Oversee the complaint management process to ensure customer complaints are addressed timely and comprehensively.
• Advise lines of business during the development of new products and services and evaluate regulatory compliance risk levels.

Internal Audit

• Assist in the creation and maintaining of bank wide risk assessments.
• Prepare for internal audits by reviewing audit procedures, applicable risk assessments, consulting with the Senior Risk Manager and department managers.
• Performs transaction testing for internal audits including pulling deposit and loan account documents for audit samples, and meeting with department managers and/or internal control process owners.
• Analyze documentation to evaluate design effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
• Identify and communicate internal control weaknesses, risks, and root causes to the Senior Risk Manager.
• Complete Internal Audit reports.
• Assist in preparing for external audits and federal/state examinations.
• Oversee the tracking of internal/external audit and examination findings and provide status reports to the Senior Risk Manager.
• Develop internal audit skills.

Vendor Management Program

• Maintain the Vendor Management Program within the online based system.
• Work with managers during the onboarding of new vendors to ensure vendors are properly classified and appropriate due diligence materials are received and reviewed.
• Work with managers during the ongoing vendor due diligence review process.
• Identify and report identified risks associated with vendors to appropriate management.
• Monitor various banking websites, online communities, peer networks, etc. for best practices and make recommendations for improving the Vendor program.

Business Continuity Program

• Maintain the Business Continuity Program within the online based system.
• Work with management to keep the Business Continuity Program current with the Bank’s processes, staffing, and IT systems.
• Coordinate testing of the Business Continuity Program and document testing of IT systems.
• Monitor updates with the online based system for both Vendor Management and Business Continuity Programs and implement changes into current processes.
• Monitor changes in federal and state banking regulations and implement updates in the Vendor Management and Business Continuity programs.
• Monitor various banking websites, online communities, peer networks, etc. for best practices and make recommendations for improving the Business Continuity program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or 2-year college degree, in Accounting, Business or related field.
• Preferred 4-5 years of experience with financial institutions’ regulatory environment with background in compliance, or audit functions.
• Possess appropriate professional certification (CRCM, CIA, etc.) or be willing to obtain certification(s).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Proven success in problem analysis and resolution; Strong attention to detail; Strong organization skills; Ability to manage multiple detailed work assignments with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to grasp the underlying concepts in complex information.
• Good decision-making skills.
• Aptitude for learning analytical and audit skills.
• Willing to travel overnight for training and professional development. 
• Ability to handle confidential material, especially relating to audit and regulatory examination findings and inquiries, in a professional, highly ethical manner.

Commercial Relationship Manager I

Department: Lending
Reports To: Market President
Supervises: None

Job Description: The Commercial Relationship Manager provides assistance to customers and prospects in all areas of financial services, concentrating on commercial loans and related products and services.  This individual acts as a gatekeeper for these relationships directing customers to other appropriate product and service specialists throughout the company.

Primary Job Functions may include:

• Focuses the resources of the company to build total customer relationships using banking, insurance, and investment services.  Uses experience and knowledge to recommend other small business products such as Treasury/Cash Management services and/or other complementary products offered by third party vendors (i.e., payment solutions).
• Gathers and analyzes data to assist in the development and building of all types of new loan business for the financial institution.
• Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities.
• Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications.
• Ensures loan files and systems contain proper signatures, dates, credit grades and other relevant data.
• Works with collectors and other Loan Servicing Department personnel to resolve delinquent payment issues, credit problems and related situations. Maintains past due status of portfolio at acceptable levels.
• Meets with and assists potential customers and handles the details to establish new accounts, prepare loan documents, compile necessary financial information, and other paperwork necessary to complete customer loan request.
• Develops new customer prospects and business for the financial institution. Proactively targets and solicits new business from existing customers and prospects through organized calling and contact methods and counsels customers in sound business practices.
• Meets sales, cross-sell and referral expectations.
• Provides relationship management for existing customers meeting customer requests, modification and renewals in a timely manner. 
• Utilizes CRM to record customer contacts, sales, and receive & send referrals.
• Develops an understanding of LifeStore products and services.
• Participates as a team player, engaging in promotions, joint calling efforts, bank functions and positively leading others in promoting LifeStore, internally and externally.
• Assumes and manages an existing commercial loan portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of an in-house training program and/or other approved training program.
• Effective communication and human resource skills, as well as excellent sales abilities.
• Good understanding and knowledge of financial institution products and services.
• Exceptional sales, cross-selling management and organizational skills.
