LifeStore Bank Working With Law Enforcement Following Attempted ATM Break-In
West Jefferson, NC, July 9, 2026 – With the assistance of the local law enforcement, LifeStore Bank is investigating an attempted cash theft at two ATM locations which occurred during the early morning hours of July 7.
“The security of our customers and their information remain our highest priority,” said Bob Washburn, President and CEO. “While ATM service was disrupted, no customer information was compromised. ATMs do not store customer account information.”
LifeStore continues to work closely with local law enforcement and encourages anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity related to these incidents to contact the authorities.
The ATM located at 205 South Jefferson Avenue in West Jefferson remains fully operational while all remaining ATMs are currently offline. Updates on ATM availability will be posted at www.GoLifeStore.com.
